Got it today - no, not the jacket but the escape whistle this one comes from BR and it is really helpful if you want some-ehm-attention from people around you - this thingie is seriously loud!
And it looks great on the A-2

Stay away from militaria fairs and online dealers - premium prices there !

I saw a few BR ACME whistles going for cheap on ebay AU just before X'mas (around $30ish iirc), so keep an eye out if you must have the BR version

otherwise, I might just get a plain 60.5, they are avaialble pretty cheap locally in Australia (like $10 US shipped from Amazon AU)

PS anyone knows if the brass or nickel version were more common during WW2?
