Aha. Gotcha. Well the shorter length might work well for your lady.
For size, that is hard to gauge because now, not only is the question of does she want a tighter or looser fit, the usual issue of shoulder width probably goes away.
Ebay seller Toystory98 is whom i bought my L-2 from. Very helpful. Email them and explain. I’m sure they’ll get you the right size.
My gut says true to size for your wife as she’ll be more of a Chinese (slighter) frame than us blokes.
