For those of you interested in a 1960 vintage L-2A. If you go to: http://www.airforce-magazine.com/MagazineArchive/Magazine%20Documents/2009/January%202009/0109coldwar.pdf on page 3 in photo 5 Major Pat Halloran is wearing his L-2A in front of a U-2 high altitude aircraft. Unfortunately not the highest resolution picture. The patch on the front is of the 4028th Strategic Reconnaissance Squadron. I found that out by looking at his biography.
