Not come across this brand before. Possibly another case of the Japanese not really knowing what a word means, just using what they like the sound of!

They probably used a cheap translation device to come up with an ‘exotic’ English term. Past examples include Sony - apparently a badly spelled Sonny inspired by the song ‘Sonny Boy’ and ‘Sailor’ for a high end brand of fountain pens (but they got the spelling right here). The Japanese have a long history of borrowing words from other languages, mind you so have English speakers eg Khaki, bungalow, pyjamas, beef, pork etc.
I just Google Knacker and the only exotic meaning was an early 16th. Century term for a Harness Maker - so they must be using a really old dictionary!
