Just got a minty pile liner for my M-43 field jacket

I just received the liner I won on Ebay last week. It is in near perfect condition. The spec tag indicates that it was manufactured in 1948. The pile (wool I believe) is very weird to the touch. I would almost say it feels sticky. Does anyone here have experience with pile jackets?

Looks like a nice score! I believe the pile is a wool/alpaca blend similar to that used in several WW2/Korean War-era garments. Some variants of the M-1943 liner had a napped inner layer instead of pile.
