Jacket care

Gentlemen,

I presently live in Guangzhou(Canton), China and work in Hong Kong. The summer humidity is rather stout. I run a dehumidifer in my house as well.

Recently, I went back to mailand China, and checked on my dear jackets that are stored in a bedroom closet, I detected some mold/mildew on the knits and leather of some of the jackets. I removed all the jackets from the closet and they were last seen hanging all over the house (wife in UK for two weeks).

My concern is what can I try in regard to storing the jackets and trying to prevent further mold/mildew from occurring?

Regards,
Don

A dehumidifier is very important, as is air circulation. I run a dehumidifier,
and a oscilating fan constantly. Make sure there is no more than 55%
humidity present were your jackets are. I've found that to be a happy
medium for keeping the mildew away, but not drying out the leather.
That's the best advice I can give after having original jackets problem
free for years.

Tankbuster,

Thanks for your information. I will try the circulating fan now as well.
