Not sure about the date, but if it is a ‘56, the owner got good service out of it. The A-7D prototype flew in 68, and squadron service in 1970.

I don't know this manufacturer, but MA-1 jackets by specification A were made before 1960.

The jacket could have been issued to the pilot later, this explains the patches from the 70s.

Full Gear dates the jacket to 1957.

Can't say the date exactly, but this is indeed an A series MA-1, so somewhere in the mid 50s. Sage green lining and oxygen tab are dead giveaways for very early models. Nice score!
