IRVIN FLYING JACKET SIZE

Hello everyone, I have just joined the group. I hope that one of you could assist. I am currently looking for a genuine Irvin sheepskin flying jacket. I have seen one that is labelled as a large size seven. There are measurements on the label but I was wondering whether they would be accurate?
I am a 40 chest and was hoping that it would not be too big.

Alternatively has anyone a decent one for sale. I am prepared to buy a repro as long as it is an Aero or Eastman BOB or pre war as I am after authenticity.

There appears to be a lot of knowledgeable people on the site and hopefully you can supply some advice!

Hi
Welcome to the VLJ Forum.
A size 7 original Irvin would be too big on you if you are a size 40.
Good Luck with your search.
