Flight Apparel Industries G1 - Opinions?

Hi all, Does anybody have any experience with Flight Apparel Industries G1? I found this one on eBay and the measurements look like they would be a good fit...still, my hunch says I should splash the extra cash and go for one of Aero's M422a in stock on their sale page...decisions decisions...

There are a couple of old threads on the Fedora Lounge saying that Flight Apparel G1’s and A2’s were made to military specs and were sold on military bases. The owner died in a plane crash and the business folded. I can’t explain the lack of a Mouton collar except to guess this one wasn’t made to spec. or (less likely) the collar has been replaced. Alternatively it might have been their attempt at an M422. There’s a G1 by them on sale on eBay with a Dynal or mouton collar (not specified), at the moment with the same label
