Interesting Willis and Geiger Cloth M422A type jacket on USMF Real?

I thought I would bring this jacket to the attention of the gurus here on VLJ

the owner says it's a seal brown cloth with Alpaca lining, a vintage looking crown zipper and apparently original W&G lables

Is this some type or prototype or a postwar jacket?

My guess is it's probably a prototype for a USN cloth version similar to the B-10. Definitely a very interesting jacket that I have never seen before. W&G did make other prototypes for the government like the AN-J and AN6552, so this is a likely possibility. If it was for the civilian market I think it would have a W&G civilian label. Not the folded over government contract label.

Very interesting indeed....
