I need help identifying a G-1(?) jacket.

Hello all, first time poster so forgive me for any mistakes. I was hoping someone here could help me out identifying this jacket. Any help would be great! I honestly have no clue, the only photo of a similar one I could find online said it was Cooper Saddlery but other than the tags posted there are no other identifying markings. It belonged to my great uncle who passed away a few years back, and I know he was in the Navy at some point, although this jacket seems too new for that as he would've served in the 70s or 80s.

Sorry, but i do not know. I am not an expert for types of leather. Hope some other member can help you.

I’m not an expert either, but I’d say that your jacket is made from cowhide.

I think the same. But, as i said, i am not an expert and i do not want to speculate.
