This is the second A-2 I bought this weekend (No, I haven't received it yet!). What do you think of the patchwork and general condition? Everything look authentic? Do you think the wear is "attractive patina", or is it too much, and in need of some intensive treatment/conditioner? Or both? How can I find info on this vet? So far I've turned up nothing.

Thanks! (Like I made them or something! LoL!) I love them all:the B-17 and ETO, the slightly battered flag, the personalized 15th AF, and original looking squadren patch. I just can't pick a favorite!

Love the 15th Italian incised patch. The 12th did that as well as they were in the MTO (Mediterranian Theatre of Operations) as well during that time. Nice to see a good example.

Did I say ETO when I should have said MTO? My bad. Ouch!!!! (Self flogging has begun)!Really, thanks for the correction. I like the fact that Lt. Haft was from was from Miami Beach, it looks nice on that patch.

Looks like you have got yourself two cracking jackets, very nice. As for conditioner etc, wait until you have it inhand and you will be better able to assess the condition. Once you have it do post some full size daylight photos [ie not as attachments].

this one looks to be pretty dry, so ya may want to consider gooping it with vasiline, or another recommended leather dressing. check for dry dry rot. if it has dry rot,, i would not consider wearing it,, and in fact, if you do keep it, handle it carefully. this is an opinion, and i am sure others will weigh in.
