Should I use this Version of the VF-31 Patch for my N-1 Deck Jacket?

It depends on you. Historically, n-1 deck jackets were not issued in the same period of time that such patches were used in the Navy. Accordingly, it would be historically inconsistent to patch your jacket with such a patch as pictured above. But then again, if you really want to, who’s going to stop you? It is your jacket, enjoy it however you wish.
