Help identifying jacket

My dad gave me this jacket, I'd like to get a liner and snap on collar for it. There were no tags on it; I know it's vintage though because of what I find in the hole of a pocket.

Hi. I can’t tell you much except that those two eyelets on the left chest are a police badge holder, and they often have detachable liners like this had. It’s a police jacket, others here will probably know more. Welcome.
