The jackets on the site are impressive and look very well made and accurate. I am curious to know the evidence for approximately 2000 AN J-3 jackets being made. Does this information come from the original contract paperwork or is it an educated guess?

Thanks RW! Boy do I wish I had the paperwork for the AN-J-3 but no I don't. The 2000 number comes from online research. The information I have read suggests numbers of approximately 2K were made. There were some conflicting numbers for sure, but the most of what I read suggested production was in the 2k range. One source claimed 2 dozen were made but I think that is unlikely. I don't think we would ever see one if only 24 were made. Talk about a rarity!
