hello everybody,

i receive a good news this morning from John,
my jacket is completed.
now he will send the jacket to Jerome for some art paint.
this is the first photo of my ''dream come true''.
the painted patch is to honour the 474th FG who were based in Florennes (Belgium).
the name tag is to honour the excellent work of John himself, it's a request of me.
so here we gooooooo

Hey Marcel, this is great news! Can you post a picture of what Jerome will paint on the back?
And I also am curious as to how much time passed between ordering and John's finished product!

That is a GREAT looking jacket! The more I see of his work, the more I want one of his jackets. I am starting to save up for one and hope I can order it by the end of this year.

thanks for your comment.

concerning the full line of specification, i will ask John to give the answer, there were many changes and i have not all the message in my new PC. So John, don't hesitate to answer.

yes it's a long time. But i was not really empressed (well impatient) and i told John he may take some delay.

concerning the art work i will request Jerome to realise for me, there will be the patch of the 9th AF paint on the sleeve + a pin-up on the right breast + in the back (on the top) the first name of my Daughter.
but i have to discuss and take a final decision about the pin-up and about the lettering.

but the final result will be a surprise that i will share with you as soon as receive my jacket .

Hi Marcel,

This jacket is a front-quarter horsehide Dubow in size 42, with a WWII Talon zipper. Standard cotton lining in dull orange with Dubow knits. I hope that helps!

some idea maybe the good one concerning my project with Jerome art paint.

this is what give me the idea, the envy to copy.

and i wish this one on my jacket (429th FS)

and this the project of pin up on the breast;
i saw the nice paint of the back of a jacket named ''Tantalizing take off'' and had the envy to copy her but with small change.
big change is also that i don't wish to paint the first name Elisabeth on the back of my jacket but above the pin up (on the breast). And also to add the number of Florennes airbase A78 and 5 german shot down aircraft to remember the ace's of the 474th FG (429th FS).

some news about my jacket.
i receive news from Jerome yesterday; it was a long time due to personnal situation with his father and also a problem with communication due to PC or mailbox. no importance.
after discussion with Jerome, i change a little bit my project.
and it would be something like this; this is a proposition and example Jerome realise for me.
in place that painting the pin-up on the breast, it would be finally on the back; the pin-up behind a AAF insigna and the lettering.

and also 9th AF insigna on the sleeve and on the opposite one, a P38 tail with marking of the 429th FS.

and also under the pin-un, 5 balkan crosses.
and also above the name tag, pilot wings painted

normally , Jerome told me it would take +- a week.
i'm really impatient.

as soon as i receive her, photos'll follow
