Has anyone on here actually bought either a Headwind or Aero Goldsmith ?
Soo much written, yet either no-one here was impressed enough to buy either (or both) jacket(s) or too ashamed to admit to having one.
Be interesting to compare both with some wear to them.

Not sure how popular these really are or are going to be, it took us nearly four months to shift the 25, not great for a new Aero design :>( especially considering the hype
At least 4 went to VLJ members, two of which I know rarely post here, not seen any on the used market. We've probably turned down about a dozen potential orders since so there are potential customers out there for Jay's version

IIRC Ken mentioned that as far as he was aware, nobody on here had bought one of his.

Posted while I was composing the response above
Maybe at that time none had ordered or we weren't aware of the customer's VLJ standing..................one of the two mention revealing themselves as a VLJ member was a real surprise

Although it's one of the first A-2s you have to wonder whether it's only really of interest to quite a specific niche audience with a higher than normal interest and knowledge of flying jackets and especially US ones.

I'd imagine the wartime contracts will always carry the larger enthusiasm and support because there's that connection of buying something similar to what a fellow wore in combat in a P-51, a B-17, etc, etc.

New jacket just out of production before our shutdown. Just took some photos today so here's a peek:

Thats a lovely looking jacket. Great detailing and the leather looks superb. Something different and unique for sure...
