George Bush homage G-1 Jacket

Hi all I am very new to this so I appreciate your feedback and advice! I picked up this G-1 jacket and based on my research it's a 50s piece from Fosters (mil-j-7823aer). There is no USN stencil under the fur collar (why?) but there is the perforation in storm flap and conmar zipper. The George Bush patches seem to be repro homage, previous owner must have been a fan! Thoughts?

Bush 41 was an underrated president...a very interesting life story and a really decent man. The book "Fly Boys" has a discussion of his role in WWII-highly recommended. I'm a fan too!

Your L.W. dates to 1958, the last of five 7823 contracts L.W. Foster Sportswear Co Inc.had.
By then the USN was transitioning from the USN stencil to the perforated wind flap, so that might explain the lack of a collar stencil.
In the late 50's Bush was out of the Navy and in the oil business, so not sure why they chose this jacket and not an M422a. Regardless, cool looking G-1!
