Gone, but not forgotten.
Yes, John's CD shows blackened Conmars for Cagleco, and most other 7823 contracts.

And it looks like a replacement .... the wrong style, and plenty of new stitching.

Yes, wrong replacement, looks like that the only Navy jacket's manufacturer of the M-422A/G-1 style with Talon zippers installed was H&L Block and it was brass.

Many of the M-422A contracts seem to have nickel Talons.

... and the Werber 7823, with the blackened brass Canadian Talon.

All M422a's had Talons...and a few G-1 models did as well (though not many), but that particular Cagleco model was almost certainly a Conmar zip...BTW, waistband has been changed (as per photo)
