A few years back I picked up this RRL faux AN-J-2/AN6551 on sale. It's a nice lightweight jacket for spring and fall but I thought I'd snazz it up a bit with some stencils (and taking out the neck tag). I didn't want anything flashy so I only stenciled the lining. I picked VF-6 because I like the classic Felix logo. Another (former) forum member cut that stencil for me. The others I got on eBay, I think. Anyway, given the jacket is the wrong color and material it's obviously a pure fantasy piece (which is why I can wear it with a vintage sterling USAAF collar insignia pin), but I like wearing it. I wonder if I could get a good F6F silhouette stencil to add, or would that be too much?
