Hi Everyone

Please find some images comparison of our Thicker Fleece D1's and Thinner Fleece D1's, its sleeves are now as Big as Original Jackets, but due to Heavy Fleece on the sleeves some people find this a more tighter sleeves than expected.

Hey!! Over on FaceBoot, Mr. Shawn said that they have a Werber Sportswear D-1 that they are working on reproducing from an original. We can add another original contract jacket to the growing list of jackets to buy haha.

As iˋm quite new to repro jackets - how warm keeps a d-1 jacket ? In comparison to a n-1 deck jacket or a b6 jacket?

For me, my variant of the D1 works very well with around 10mm fleece and a t-shirt from 0 - 12 celsius. It can also be a little colder with a sweater. However, from 0 down I prefer to wear my RAF because it is warmer.

Having owned both, I find the N-1 much warmer and practical than a D-1. The think alpaca lining is much more insulating than the lighter, thinner cut D-1. Also the short cut D-1 cut wide around the waist allows cold air to seep in. IMHO, not even close. Also the Bedford cord repels water where as sheepskin just soaks it up. The USN knew what they were doing!

Thanks ! The point for me that the Bedford repels water more - as i´ve got a dog and durings walks it rains a lot (Living in germany).

I'm not sure but probably depends on the brand. My BR Deck Jacket repels the rain and is good waterproof. My Bronson N-1 just soaks up the water and won't hold for long. Just a thought.

Probably its because BR uses Alpaca Wool and Bronson on the otherhand uses synthetics - but im not sure.

The lining should be insignificant for the water resistance. It is certainly about the material used for the outer shell.

It will be nice to get a mid season shearling jacket as the D1 with the proper fleece. Make me remenber my first enjoyed WPG B3 with the thinner fleece.

My BR N-1 is a super jacket in the rain . I did something that I’m not recommending because it may darken the jacket just a little, but I sprayed my jacket down with 3D Scotch Guard water repellent spray , a which makes the jacket impervious to water now . It works well .

A Werber D-1 has entered the Fivestar universe a couple of months ago and made it into the available portfolio....

It is absolutely stupid to say in the middle of summer, but I am sure that I will get one before winter!

The label is not quite there... But the rest of the jacket looks awesome. And having handled some of the skin (cuffs of my FS AREO B-3), I am absolutely sure that a D-1 will be an incredible jacket!

I am not sure how the price for a D-1 in these hides is, but as these are @Shawn Ali's current hides, I expect no premium, just for copying a authentic contract.

Unlike another manufacturer, FS seems to calculate their prices after the material they use and the work they have to put into a jacket... Not after the demand for the copied original...
