Hi Dear Ken,

Thanks for making my attention, I didn't realize that its your jacket's image, This same image is displayed on I think 50 online stores, I take this as a standard image, If I realized it's specifically yours I definitely would avoid this. Please don't worry images have been updated.

Shawn

That doesn't explain how your label & watermark found their way onto our pic

Ken, suggest you take it up directly with the other manufacturer. No need to drag it out on the forum.

Lest you forget (or were unaware of the fact) that I was the first person to recommend Fiver Star on this forum I think that gives me the right to follow up that post with facts concerning the ethics of the company?

A case of "Shooting the whistle blower" AGAIN...............

I think it is a good chance for manufacturers(not only 5star) to notify it is a bad practice to directly use someone photos to present (or pretend) his product.
Many other manufacturers on eBay/Amazon using the same set of photos to present their product, Shawn is talking about the truth, and now he knows it is wrong. In my opinion, it is a sight of lacking confident because apart from the cover picture from Aero Leather, he is also showing the real photos, the true pictures of his product in the preview. So i think Shawn should feel more confident toward his products by showing the true photos of his own product in the cover but not using someone photo to present his product.

I believe this habit is based on sheer laziness, followed by a lack of self confidence.
Making a sample from scratch takes even a really experienced operative at the very least a whole day, often two or three if the machiniost is working it out as she/he goes along. I reckon it took me 24 working hours at least to make the Neta Snook sample and I've been doing this sort of work for over 50 years, OK that did include cutting the pattern but that's still less than two a week
All this is required for any new design without knowing if ANYONE is going to be interested in the final model.
Far easier to stick someone elses pics/design up on line, sit back and wait for any interest/feedback, only then feel the need to actually trying to make the model

Hi Dear @Ken at Aero Leather

I knew that you are the one who warmly welcome's me on this forum, I also respect you and your seniority in this field, I never challenged anything relating to you, Instead all of the things you suggested me to be ethical I followed them although those practices disturbed my business but I am totally doing the ethical practices, I explained I was not aware that those images were relating to aero if I knew we definitely would never post them, Regarding some other jackets please be aware we are manufacturing Replica's or new jacket articles from years I recall I was unaware about this jacket and one of a customer send me these images for the first time when I was even not active in this forum I made Its first prototype and asked the buyer about this jacket also searched on the internet and found this same article is being offered by many many online stores so we post its images along with our own produced images, I came to know by your message that these images belongs to you So I intimate my staff and updated them immediately, So if unintentionally we hurt you or your image we assure we will be ethical.

If you are still not satisfied with my explanation I would welcome you to please send me all of your concerns on my personal email ([email protected]) I would be very well responsive on them.

Best Regards

Shawn

I'm Roger Hunt, from London. Living in Stoke on Trent at mo for work. I'll be back in London next month. First bought an A2 off of Aero when they traded as Transatlantic trading co; think the ad was in the Exchange and Mart. Still have the jacket, bit tight on me now though. Cuffs and waistband still look like new. Not sure if Ken was using all wool in those A2s. Met Ken in the early 90s during the London fashion week. Think in a hall on High st Ken. Cheers R
