Fivestar Flying helmet

A few month ago, I approached Shawn about recreating my original Air Associates leather flying helmet.
Shawn enthusiastically agreed to accept the challenge if I would send my original for him to study.

Well today was arrival day !!!!
I requested that one helmet be made in the same size as the original (L) and one slightly larger (XL)

Here is my review:

- the leather is a beautiful russet brown. Very soft and supple yet thick enough to be very durable
-The stitching and edging around is perfect , again in a russet colour
-The chrome buckles while slightly different shape than the original are perfect and don’t take away from the helmet at all. In fact they are just as vintage looking in their design as the originals
- the size large helmet fits just the same as my original . I also ordered one larger just in case and though it’s slightly looser , the fit is perfectly fine if I were to use it in flight .
- communication with Shawn thru out the process was excellent .
- timeframe was surprisingly fast considering a brand new product was being developed .
- Cost was absolutely reasonable and well worth it for the product

To say I am happy with the results is an understatement.
I would like to thank Shawn and his Fivestar Team for the excellent cooperation and work that was put into making my helmets.
And am equally thankful that he will
now be offering these helmets to others.

Yes bu we chose to use lambskin
The chamois lining is not practical or durable
