Elgin watch band

This is something I am working on. Waiting on some hardware then it’s ready to go. Will fit an Elgin with 16mm clearance between watch posts. Or any watch that has that spec.

Top leather is something called New Haven russet.
Bottom or back and keeper is seal Vicenza HH.
Length of longer band is 11 cm, buckle side is 8.5cm

Very nice, my preference would be for a Russet keeper loop instead of the dark one.

I have lots of thin leather in varing colors. Some veg tanned and some chrome tanned. I may make a few up in different colors. Even got some ostrich.

Finished. Just have to add either s silver or gold buckle. I don’t have any watch this would fit. But it is 18mm at the pin end and tapered to 16mm for buckle. Total length not including the watch is 19.5mm
This was just a test anyway. I do have more of this aged leather.

Thanks.

Would any of you guys be interested in a band like this? I can make it to fit a watch you have. Pm me if you are interested and we can discuss the particulars such as size and all. (No pun intended).

“That’s what she said”!

This one is finished with a gold colored buckle.

Maybe posting a photo collage of everything you make would promote some additional interest and show off your leather craft skills:)

Good idea. I do have the one band posted but sort of stick to custom made so need the buyers measurements and preferences before I make.
I think in my personal bio there is a link to my leather Instagram account showing some picture of things.
If not just type in
Jgordonleather on Instagram.
