It sure has the look of Dynel to me... I'm guessing D or more likely E series G-1 there. A few of the early E series G-1s did have a lighter brown embossed cow hide leather that can look slightly red under certain circumstances. My Imperial is a bit like that. Come to think of it, the majority of Imperial Sportswear G-1s I've seen have this trait.

That's a synthetic collar, they didn't come around until the 1970's. I have a much nicer 1968 G-1 on auction now for the same price.

I agree with Jason. I think that jacket is a mid-seventies, Imperial Leather cowhide G-1.
