early D-1 jacket,

Wow, the stories this jacket could tell might be legend, or they might be totally mundane. Anyway, that said, she is a beauty for sure.

Made by the Army Air Forces themselves instead of a contractor. This jacket was made at the San Antonio Air Depot during the run up and early part of the US entry into the war. I have never seen one with Anzo snaps on the collar closure as this was normally done with a belt and buckle affair. You can see by the verdigris on the snaps that they are original, also if the snaps had been added later they would have had extra holes in the strap, which are not evident in the photos.

Very Cool find, if a bit pricey for the condition its in.
