Hi guys
Does anyone know where I can find repro leather zip pullers for an Irvin ?
Something similar to these.

Ask for some leather samples from say Aero and cut your own perhaps.

The teardrop type are usually stitched or riveted on. The long thong ones are simply cut from strips of leather looped through the zip pull. A leather off-cut will see the second type cut to size in no time.

It's also easy enough to cut the double type and sew a couple of stitches with leather thread

I buy bags of crafter's leather off cuts rather than cut into one of my larger pieces, there's usually something you can use in a bag of crafter's off cuts, colour, thickness etc

Go to your local saddlery shop , bootmaker, or cobbler... and ask for a leather sample the same colour they might cut one for you and give it for free! if you were close to my place you could have one for free but i live an ocean away . !.

Maybe a stupid question but how could I get the big teardrop like leather tab through the relative small hole of the zipper puller without damaging it too much?

Sorry for my somewhat bad drawing but it is just to get the idea.

The leather tab is double stitched leather but there's a small strip of leather which is pulled through the hole of the zipper puller. This is fixed with a brass tubular rivet.

Found plenty of leather yesterday... One piece ideal for pull tabs. Just have to remember which tub I out it in...

I did the puller tabs for my irvin two days ago.
I tried to copy the ones I've seen on a lot of wartime irvins, including the way they are attached.
