Deck Jacket Shrinking

Greetings all!
I just received a non stock Deck jacket size 44 that my Inlaws got me for Xmas. They said the Bronsons were out of stock when they ordered so they got this one.
I am super impressed with the quality. I love it. I do believe it is a tad too big.
I was wondering if I washed it in hot water and heat dried it would it shrink a lil ? I don’t need much shrinkage. Please disregard my pjs and slippers.
thank you all in advance

I put my Bronson B10 in hot water in a tub. The listed outside chest size was stated as a 44".
After hanging to dry. It came out measuring a tad over 43".

It didn' t seem to have any ill effect. Fit is now comfortable with a thick sweater under.

What Steve said.

Personally deck jackets look far better a little on the looser side, it's the design of the jacket. That super trim look looks bloody daft IMHO.

I'd be very happy with what you have in the photos. Just wear it and enjoy it.

Awesome feedback. Thank you so much. I will wear it in good health.
It’s pretty dang cold these days in Sasebo. I’ve been waiting for this jacket since Xmas. It got shipped from California to japan and got a lil lost in the mail.

Have a look at Steve McQueen and James Dean wearing deck jackets. No silly super trim nonsense there!

Post a pic or three once you've gotten some miles on the jacket too.

Paul Newman! I knew it was Paul Newman or Steve McQueen. It's that damn Ardbeg, it's gone and fuddled my brain ;-)
