Dating a Schott

Hi all

As mentioned in my intro - I have a couple of jackets I want to know a bit more about. This is the other one - it’s a Schott A2 - but that’s all I know! No labels at all... just a big old Ideal zip!

Like some of my others it’s not been looked after by previous owners and the fabric and liner have seen better days - but the leather is as solid and supple as ever! The zip is seriously sticky though - any tips on how to get it to behave are most welcome.

So, over to you guys again. Any idea on the age?
Best, Chris

There’s a white label inside one of the pockets on Schott jackets. If you find one then post a pic of it on the Schott Forum and they’ll tell you. Here’s a link to the forum - you may have to register https://www.schottnyc.com/forum/posts/613_cycle_rider.htm

Thank you ... I did try that, but there’s no label in the pockets - I think it’s pre that identification. I may try the Schott forum...but given the total lack of labels they might struggle too.

I was hoping the zipper might give a clue to date and so forth
