Hi!

i bought this CWU 36/p jacket a while back, feel in love right away but somehow I’ve only worn it a handful of times. Decided it’s time to let it go but I would love to get some help from you guys.

am I correct to assume it’s from 1977?
I’ve tried to find pictures of other CWU 36/p jacket from that year but mine seem to be in almost to good condition.

So... in short. Can you guys help me nail down the jackets age and if it’s genuine?

I’d say it was-it has the early bi-swing back that they had at that time. However every time I chime in on threads like this, trying to act like an expert, somebody who actually knows what they’re on about yips up and makes me look daft. I have a similar one, but not in such pristine condition. They do turn up in as-new condition, I had a fabulous, pretty much unworn 1974 CWU 45/P which I was fool enough to sell.

Yes, the bi-swing back made me kinda sure. I believe I read somewhere that that CWU 36/p was first introduced on the tag in 1977 and that’s what made me doubt it was genuine at first. But if they do turn up in as new condition as you say. Maybe I just didn’t google hard enough.
