As with others Crown zipper, die cast teeth are direct cast into the tape; unlike all others zipper teeth, making it extremely difficult to shorten - take out the teeth - and much more durable. Its sliding texture is second to none.
There is a tiny little spring of diameter less than 1mm in the slider box for the locking mechanism - the teeth design, the making, the material, the engraving, the top stop, etc. - it is a work of art, IMO. I mean for all Crown zippers, not just this model.

Vintage zippers are extremely rare; much more so than the jacket. Its value, IMO, will only rise. Stock them while you still can.
