there is a nifty b&w pic of a young little al at a mc race in one of the Japanese lighting books. he is wearing the same jacket, and I would guess that the pic was taken in the early'30s.

The term Cossack refers to a side buckled, Half Belted back, usually a fairly short jacket, nothing like Einstien''s or Jay's

Sticking to VLJ Mode ....Military of cource As far as I am aware this is the only WW2 Half Belted jacket ever issued
