Steeve, would you say a bit too smooth? I think it lacks character to a certain point, probably horse of good quality but so flat and even.

Yes too smooth for me as well, probably from the era of Eastman's smooth hides but considering the price of these things these days it's not outrageous and will do someone after a relatively cheap - I said relatively lol - jacket.
