geezlouise, this shit is a non stop daily occurrence. there must be some kinda way to filter it out.

I admin elsewhere. Most platforms have automatic new registration and anti spam settings available via the Admin CP [Control Panel] as manual checking is extremely burdensome. XenForo as used here is no different..

CAPTCHA seemed to have improved so I currently just have CAPTCHA on. Do questions work better for you at preventing spammers and bots? I was considering doing both but I'm sure that would piss off real folks trying to join so leaning towards going to questions. Are there any good sample...

According to Nathan, we already have a Captcha system in place (yeah - I totally forgot about that too), but he’s going to dial up the difficulty on it. a few will still undoubtedly get through, but that should help.
