Can vintage Sears Hercules horsehide be revived?

my question on preservation is that those 50s Sears horsehide jackets in the vintage stores, can they be revived? They all look scuffed, dry and even rotten, will any product condition it to the extent they are strengthened and "revived"? Also, were those jackets made frmo Horween's FQHH that Aero uses? Is my Aero going to look like that in 50 years?

IMO, they only get that way from neglect and storage in extreme conditions. The scuffs and dryness(to an extent) can be managed with dye and oil, the rot cannot. Nothing will reverse the cellular damage and make the hide "grow back together".
Again, JMO,

So, with some nice lexol/Montana pitch blend/Obnauf/Leatherique, and some Horween aroma, they should be good as new.
