I have the same ones but like most types of cold weather gear they don’t get a lot of wear down here.
I live in Georgia, and it can get hot down here too. I still use them during the summer for yard work and such. surprisingly, they are one of the most comfortable pair of boots I own

From what I've read they were developed by George S Patton and H.E. Ketzler of the Dehner Boot Company in 1937 and were in use through 1944. Made for Patton's Tank Corp, he wanted something fast to get on with good ankle support. FWIW, they really are amazingly comfortable boots with great ankle support. Finding WWII originals in wearable condition is nearly impossible these days.
