Waited long for this day. This is one of the favorites of mine (and yours I guess)
The fit is really excellent, very comfy, high armholes provide freedom of movement and the collar doesn't get in the way like the Rough Wear's. Very cool looking indeed.

The jacket is made in VHH and has knits and lining perfect match to the original sample. I will show comparison shots later.

Here's the 3D presentation:

and for ipad, iphone here:

and of course some photos:

Looks pretty sharp Platon, whats the chest size for the 40 and how does it compare in fit to my Werber?

Thanks. it feels as comfortable as the Werber. I am very much tempted to keep it.
I don't have the measurements right now, but will revert.

Looking good Platon. The Star is a sharp design and your repro looks accurate apart from the collar which on originals has a more curved profile towards the tips. Do you have any plans to make them from cow hide like many of the originals from this contract?

Here are a couple of originals by way of comparison.

I believe that is the one that he recently listed on the GW "For Sale" page.
Was sorely tempted, but a tad bit too large for me. :(

Just checked...you're right. That was a Werber. Looks like same leather though.
Both jackets drool worthy.

I take it you want to see 'as worn' photos. I will provide.

Do you have any plans to make them from cow hide like many of the originals from this contract?

Yes it will be available in Badalassi cowhide and of course VHH.

Now this GW is a magnificent jacket and it drapes like an original. :)

No Andrew, this is not how an original drapes. This is how an original 46 drapes on a 44 body.
and this is how an original 40 drapes on a 40 body

I don't suppose you want to make any comments about the color.

Very nice Star A-2!! It looks like the issued jacket would have 70 years ago. The only difference is the amount of wear and light fading on the original. Well done BK.
