Im not trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.I seen you had a good repetition on here ,so with that being said I thought I could ask for some advice.( but don worries yourself it wont happen again. And as for as the other member he was next on the list because he said he work at a museum. All I was trying to find out if I had something of value .I do not know hoe many of these may be floating around out there .That was my intent..Oh by the way the name is Mr.Jerry Thomas Shedd..you have my consent to pass it on if you wish to....Mr Jerry Thomas Shed

Slightly confused by your post ending

If I misinterpreted the tone and meaning of your correspondence, then I stand corrected and apologize. On this forum we often encounter people joining the forum and posting jackets and other artifacts for the sole purpose of placing a monetary value on that item. They simply participate on this forum long enough to gain some insight on what they have and its financial value in order to price it for sale at a later time. You have a wonderful book, complete with some brilliant photographs and personal signatures. I hope you'll continue to share them with us and remain an active participant of this forum. Let your time and presence here, be the deciding factor on what your motives are. Once again my sincerest apologies.

I'm with Burt Jerry, it would be wonderful if you could stick around.

As I mentioned to you in my PM, USAAC things aren't my speciality but I think it's safe to say that what you have (if authenticated) is worth probably a tidy sum. Not "I'm going to buy a new house and a Bentley" money but I'd imagine that in a specialist auction it would do well, as in several thousand.

If you don't need the money, I'd seriously think of offering it for a long term loan to an aviation museum, either a national one or one with a connection to the flight if possible, and on condition that it is displayed and not in storage. That way other people get to share the history and your family has the opportunity of retaining ownership in the long term.
