Very cool find indeed.
Wouldn't be AVG, B-15s weren't around then, but later after the 23FG formed, certainly more USAF gear found its way across to the CBI.

the painted canvas cloth patch does not look right. for the most part, those canvas patches were made for RKO- max berman studios [1942-45, and post war], as war time "collectibles". I can't be sure from the pic, but the tiger shark appears to be stitched atop of another patch, backing, or something.
