B-10 in RNZAF/RAF Service

Here's something you don't see everyday and which I thought might be of interest to some here, a B-10 being used with RNZAF/RAF uniform...

This is Flight Lieutenant Jack Cleland of the RNZAF. Jack was the only Kiwi to fly a tour attached to a USAAF fighter unit, that being the 363rd FS. Jack was actually good mates with Chuck Yeager with whom he served in the 363rd.

Not very often you see a B-10 being worn with British/Commonwealth uniform and especially still sporting its USAAF squadron badge. This photo is after Jack has returned to RAF service and he'd obviously taken his B-10 with him!

Holy cow !! Thats some pic !!! :eek:

Yup Carl, you'd be hard pressed to find too many other photos of a chap in RAF/Commonwealth air forces uniform wearing a B-10 complete with USAAF squadron insignia. In fact it might be nigh on impossible to find another ;)
