Gents,

Had the unique privilege of being a part of the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum's AusArmourFest 2018 over the weekend. Following on from our recon a couple of months back we were blessed to be joined by a highly capable Tiger crew from Adelaide.

We had $354 worth of pyro to play with over the two days and Rob the owner has realised that he can kick it up to $2500 quite easily next year. 50 reenactors have called in to be a part of it. We have the vetting responsibility. I am now the 'Nazi Nazi'. It is a real thing as of today!

There were international visitors and at the VIP sit down the group think was that the collection had put the museum to No.3 in the World. Bovington at No.1 and pretty hard to top. A Museum in France in a town I can't recall at No.2. With the Panther, the three Panzer IVs, the Sherman Firefly and the M24 Chaffee next year it will leap to No.2. Happy to get the input from the guys in the US.

Not sure how many Museums have tactile interaction without barriers and restrictions on access. Anyhoo. It was one of the best weekends of my life. I have only ever proposed to two women and both of those weekends were pretty good. This WAS a case of sliding inside something you had lusted after your whole life..

That’s pretty damn cool!
Working in a museum with any type of WWII collections or artifacts would be a dream job for me but that museum would be the tops!
