Orchard is hit and miss, I'm afraid. I have an issued 1992 Orchard A-2 that is my favorite A-2. It is very well made, the leather is fantastic and its cut is much more like the WWII A-2s than either of the other A-2 contractors (Saddlery and Averix). But I've also seen civilian Orchard A-2s that were terrible, stiff, clunky things that were two steps below the average mall jacket. I think that I would hesitate to buy an Orchard unless I could see and handle the jacket first. By the way, Orchard and Branded Leather are one and the same. Here's the site:
