Are there only 2 current manufacturers producing this jacket ?
I know of AERO, ELC and GW.
reports on any of them Pilot ??
I only had a RMCJ one but years ago...but none of the other ones.
To me the three listed above are all great... but I am no expert...Andrew and John lever are...
Here in Korea and Japan, one can only find the RMCJ version but all in 38”-40” if lucky.... and they are always quite worn out.....and highly priced...arround..600-800Euro
Rob from ELC mentioned on Wednesday that they have an AN-J-4 from Poughkeepsie coming in Oct. 2018...
Lets wait & see.
However, I love the Aero version as well as the GW one (GW.. if not waiting for 2 years )
The ELC AN-J-4 is a well constructed garment and very accurate. Their Poughkeepsie version will be interesting to see in the Autumn. I can't comment on AN-J-4s from other makers as I have not handled them. John Lever should be able to help though.
I have an original Poughkeepsie AN-J-4 , but would like a winter wearer this year ! just testing the water to see whats out there ! broken in or not !
Wow... lucky you...
Will order one as well...
As far as I know Aero did even have a WW2 AN-J-4 contract.
Just seen the ELC price !!! nahhh dont think so somehow !!!
As far as I see it, they are all in the same range+/-...the good ones...
