aero zip

Hi , I have a ww2 irvin jacket which is in sound condition , however the main zip is Aero (looks original) . On checking it appears that Aero made zips for the war effort from a factory in Wales . I assume they must have been fitted to the Irvin jacket . Any info on this would be grateful as it seems most Irvins had a different zip

I think my jacket is original , the Aero zip company was formed in Wales by a jewish man who escaped from Germany in about 1938 . The Government at the time took control of the business for the war effort

Could you send a pic of the end of the zipper near the collar. Mine has the 'C' type end stoppers that I'm pretty sure are 40s or at the latest early 50s.

Could be a wartime replacement

Hello ,
I thought I should send some more pics to give you an idea of what the jacket looks like
