Aero Redskin

Hi All,

I've been after an Aero Redskin D1 for a while now, but I can't seem to confirm which hide they're currently using for it. It seems that there are two different types:

1: A rather bright red, heavily mottled nappa finish with white-ish shearling - https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/aero-leather-d1.88620/

2: A deeper more brownish red with a yellowish shearling - https://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/product-detail.php?id=79

I dislike the former and absolutely love the latter. Now, you might say that as the second one is the official picture on the Aero website, one can assume that is the one you'd get; however, the redskin seconds on the Aero website are in the first hide, and a picture on the recent thread about the Aero factory visit showed some of the first hide lying about on a pile, so I'm a bit too worried to place an order without confirmation that I'd be getting that lovely brownish hide. I emailed Aero about this a while back, but they didn't reply, so it would be hugely appreciated if someone could confirm which hide I'd get.

Also, on a less important note, might anyone know what contract the Aero D1 is based on? It seems a lot more tapered than the Werber. It's a beautiful jacket..

I cannot give you insight on this jacket but I am also looking for a top repro D-1.

It's not a lot but you will find a pic of Aero D-1 in a dark shade with a an apparent slim taper.

Aero (Scotland) Redskin D-1, anyone got one ?

Thinking about getting myself and Aero Redskin D-1. Love the simplicity and cut of the jacket. The redskin on the eebsite looks gorgeous. But i’ve never heard of someone eho has one or had had one through their hands. The B-3 i’ve had in the past but was too big, too heavy and restricted...

The people at AERO are professionals and will help you get the jacket of your dreams ... - well at least they did that for me ...

Thanks for the replies - I emailed a while ago and they didn't reply, but (being a millennial) I hadn't thought about calling them up! - will try that route.
