Hi all,

This a-2 popped up in a facebook group, and somehow I decided I needed it in the first two minutes it came online

According to seller, it came from an old collection. The 90 year old he bought it from had it since the 1950's (story...)

The condition is rather awesome. Please let me know what you guys see and think. Here to learn...

Stunning jacket. That collar is just classic. Love the patch too!

especially interesting is the original conmar zipper used in this aero

Had a similar thought (“weren’t Conmars more a Perry/Cable zipper..?”), but honestly there are so many zips that show up in unexpected places, especially in 1942, when everyone was scrambling.

Very nice
I am only looking on a phone so couldn’t see if the zipper has been replaced or not, goes to show and has been said before we are still learning and seeing new things on here all the time

Collar has had some work done, not sure if top collar has been replaced or just repaired. The seam in centre back of top collar is certainly not original.

Very nice jacket though.
