About the RAFU patch

I'm going to try and make my own patch for "RAFU". It's so fascinating.I have finished the line draft.

Can anyone tell me the background of this "RAFU" patch?What army is it?Any information is helpful.

It's the patch of the 36th BS who were the only 8th AF unit involved in radar counter measures. Basically they went up and tried to jam German radar systems detecting incoming raids, and interfering with the German attempts at controlling and vectoring their fighter interceptions by disrupting their communications.
