Anyone have one of these? I'm curious to see if they're the same as the 1988-contract jackets.

I've never seen a 1992 Saddlery. There was a 1988 Saddlery contract, and a 1992 Orchard contract, and another 1996 Saddlery contract. Then, in 1998, Avirex got their first contract and has produced A-2s for the USAF since.

Are you sure you're thinking of a '92 Saddlery?

I said the exact same thing. Yes. Apparently there was a Saddlery 1992 contract as well as a 1995 and 1996 Saddlery contract

I'm curious if it's just another run of the original 1988 contract or if there were changes (different knits, zips, etc)?

This image is from a discussion over at the US Militaria Forum. Unknown owner of the photo. I think it came from an online auction listing.

Well dang. I've never seen the '92 or the '95 Saddlery. I've seen tons of '88s and '96s and have owned several of those. But not the other two.

I have a 95 and a 96 Saddlery (at least according to the tags that's what they are) and I can't see any difference at all between them and the 88 Saddlery that I was issued.

I should add that along about 2000 I bought a Saddlery at a surplus store in Las Vegas and though it appeared outwardly the same as any other Saddlery, it had interior pockets. The jacket is long gone now and I didn't bother to notice the year of the contract. So, yes, at some point there was a change in the Saddlery jacket.
