Just wear it every night for five hours for a year and a half.
Mine is the softest A-2 I have ever worn and the collar is perfect.

I had a Superior Togs model prior…I’ll say this - the secondhand Buzz cloth/nylon jackets are the best bang for the buck I can think of.

Hi, everyone, I'm new. I joined because I had questions about getting a repro M-422a that I didn't even need to ask since the information was pretty easy to find here. I realized recently that pretty much every jacket I wear is a flight jacket except one, and it's pretty close to being one anyway.
First is my DeBrabander A-2. I got it for a Halloween costume in 2016 and while it hasn't seen daily wear it's seen a fair amount.
Something wonky's happening with the cuff knit, though.
I've been wearing this jacket pretty much every day since around January, except particularly cold days, and I'm finally feeling like it's breaking in to my liking. Naturally that means it's time to get a new daily wear jacket.
I own this jacket because of you people, so thanks! I absolutely love this jacket. It keeps the wind out and I'm currently pursuing my masters degree in Edinburgh, so there's a lot of wind. It also makes me want to get a set of aviation working greens, go for that Bridges at Toko-Ri look.
I also have a few other jackets I wear sometimes.
I bought a Luna Replicas reproduction NASA jacket a couple years ago because I'm a massive space nerd but didn't get a lot of opportunity to wear it: I'd started a historic preservation internship at Gettysburg at about the same time and didn't want to wear it to basically a construction job.
Being a massive space nerd means I wanted another NASA jacket for colder weather, so when Luna Replicas announced a cold weather version of the gold Apollo jacket I had to get one.
I am slightly disappointed with this jacket because the outer shell seems to be a slightly different color than the standard gold jacket, but I'm not 100% sure about that. I might have to buy the standard jacket just to make sure.
Of course I also had to go even further with my space madness.
The Fisher space pen has a blue ink cartridge because that's what they flew on Apollo. And I figure you can never go wrong having a Skilcraft pen on you at all times. I found a box of 'em in my stuff, must have acquired it when I was in the army.
For particularly cold days I have an At The Front B-10.
I bought it when they had a sale. I got it for a hundred bucks and it's one of the best impulse buys I ever made. Wonderfully warm.
The jacket I wear that isn't a flight jacket I don't have a picture of handy because it's also the only one I didn't bring with me to Scotland. It's my old CVC jacket that the army gave me and forgot to ask for back. No complaints there. It was issued to me brand new and I don't think I ever actually wore it while I was in.
I think I belong here because after looking at all my jackets my thought was "what should I get next?" and not "wow I have too many."

After a bit of a false Spring and some unseasonably warm days winter has returned and we woke to a light dusting of snow this morning. An opportunity to try out the new to me older size 44 Fenland fleece ELC Irvin care of @Southoftheborder . I bought this to replace my size 42 of the same vintage which is getting a bit snug and difficult to zip up.
