A2 Dubow Size Chart New.jpg

Best Regards

@Shawn Ali -

Thanks for generating a very clear & detailed sizing chart and related pictorial representation for your Dubow pattern. It will go a LONG way to eliminate any confusion & help clarify any sizing questions from both your existing & potential new customers.

The only thing missing is the length measurement detail in the jacket picture. Can I assume that it is measured on the back of the jacket, from the collar attachment seam to the bottom of the waist cuff?

Thanks!

Jim

That seems pretty clear to me. And if a customer is unclear on what "length" means, they can check Five Star's Measuring Guide, which makes it even more clear what the major measurements are.

It's always best for everyone involved to check twice & make sure before ordering.

Likewise, it's also in the manufacturer's best interest to provide & present as much information as necessary in order to make it as quick, clear and easy for everyone to understand, no matter if the customer is buying their 1st or 100th jacket.

Adding the length measurement to the accompanying jacket picture would leave no doubt or uncertainty. ;)

If Shawn has had a bunch of customers who are genuinely unsure what length means, then it may be worth clarifying, but he seems to have gotten along quite well with the chart he has. This seems low priority to me.

That's Correct, and will make this in the image as well.

So DHL has my package in town, but says delivery is tomorrow. So I called and asked if I could just pick it up today and the answer was, "Oh, no, its on the truck. You can pick it up tomorrow." So its either on a truck that has to be unloaded or its on a delivery truck all day today and tomorrow. Its here but you can't have it.

Update: DHL txt'd me it will be delivered today, lol.

Actually, I took it out, The lighting is horrible because its dark now. So only one picture.

I really, really like it.

I like my fit slightly loose so it would be able to accommodate flight gear without me becoming a wool and leather sausage.

I was intend to get an off the rack size, but Shawn is about full customer service, so its a tweaked size between a
46 and a 48, A stock 46 would probably been fine. At the time the shoulders seemed narrow on the ratios, but I think
that is just part of the Dubow pattern and Shawn has it dialed in.

The color to me is seal, the chocolate shade, that no maker ever seems to copy. So I am thrilled with chocolate.

The stitching is well done, but I wish I could have selected a slightly lighter brown. If I had planned better I could have
sent thread along with the zipper and dull knits.

The leather soft and flexible and a great weight for a period A-2.

I probably will have a new name tag put on, the very last bit of stitching went ever so slightly wonky. It was a $$$ Mash tag with an incised boarder. Don't get me wrong, its better than what you see on most originals.

I'm not sure but, but right now the waist seems a bit loose.

That's all for now, not sure is this is the right spot for a more in depth review.

Thanks Shawn!

Yes, I asked if it was possible and he agreed. My reasoning was to have someone do it that was already familiar with the weight of the leather rather then find yet someone else to do it.

The patch is the 379BG.

Did Shawn sew on the patch and name tag? Would love to see a close up of the stitching. Hmmm.
